Chování koně
Koně jsou složitá, a citlivá zvířata s úžasnou schopností vytvářet si vztahy k lidem. Jsou to ve své přirozenosti plachá zvířata: jsou stále ve střehu a v ohrožení bývají neklidní. Jejich hlavní obranou je rychlost, proto před nebezpečím zpravidla utíkají. V přírodě koně žijí ve stádech,. Osamocený kůň se cítí zranitelný.
Myšlení koně
Kůň nepochopí, co po něm chcete, pokud mu to zřetelně nenaznačíte. Má však výbornou paměť. To znamená, že schopen pracovat velmi dobře podle naučených povelů.
Řeč těla
Koně spolu komunikují a lidé mají možnost naučit se tyto signály číst: jestliže je kůň rozčilený, stáhne uši a mrská ohonem. Pokud má také strach, svěsí ohon mezi nohy. Když koněněco zaujme, zvedne ohon, nastraží uši směrem k objektu svého zájmu a vyklene krk. Někdy také pohazuje hlavou a frká. Klidný a uvolněný kůň má jasné, mírné oči a nemá napjaté svaly. Otáčí uši za různými zvuky a občas si udělá pohodlí přenesením váhy na jednu zadní nohu.
,,Chytrý Hans"
Existuje stará historka o koni , který uměl řešit matematické úlohy. Jmenoval se Chytrý Hans.
Žil v 19. století v Nizozemsku. Jeho majitel ho představil vědcům, kteří měli rozluštit tajemství jeho moudrosti.
Všichni si mysleli, že za tím vězí jednoduchý trik. Ale Chytrý Hans řešil úkoly i v nepřítomnosti svého trenéra. Vždy když mu někdo zadal příklad, vyťukal přední nohou správnou odpověď.
Pak odborníci přece jen přišli záhadě na kloub.
Skvělé výkony se totiž odehrávaly jen při přítomnosti publika. Jinak ne. Z toho poznali, že Hans dokázal z napětí lidí vycítit správnou odpověď.
A co z toho plyne? Že koně dokážou vnímat jak vnitřní napětí, tak i vyrovnanost!
Zbarvení koní
Jak už jste si asi všimli, koně jsou ruzných barev. :o) Ale jaké existují jejich barvy?
Hnědáci - jeho základní barva je světle hnědá, hnědá, tmavě hnědá, rezavá hnědá, černá hnědá. Černý hnědák je velmi podobný vraníkovi. Od vraníka se pozná tím, že kolem huby a ve slabinách je hnědě zbarvený.
Vraníci - po celém těle jsou černě zbarvení. Jejich kůže je tmavošedá.
Ryzák - jeho srst je rezavá. Existují ryzáci, červení ryzáci a tmaví ryzáci.
Izabela (lidově "Žluťák") - barvu srsti má žlutou až bílou. Hříva i ocas jsou stejné barvy jako tělo.
Plavák - má žluté chlupy na černé kůži. Může být světlý, tmavý, šedý. Má vždy černou hřívu, ocas a spodky končetin. Občas i úhoří pruh.
Strakáč - je červený, hnědý a černý. Má nepravidelně rozležené "fleky" na srsti.
Grošák - po těle má kroužky tmavých chlupů na šedém podkladu. Ty ale obvykle mizí s věkem.
Albín - má nepigmentovou kůži, oči červené nebo modré a kopyta nepigmentované (světlé). Rodí se bílý.
Bělouš - jeho srst je bílá. Rozlišuje se na vybělujícího a nevybělujícího. Vybělující se rodí černý nebo hnědý a s postupem času jeho srst vyběluje. Nevybělující-s jakou barvou se narodí, taková mu zůstane. Bílé barvy je víc, ale hlava je tmavá.
